Halloween Fics by Me - A List
Usually around Halloween I try to write some spooky fics. It doesn't seem like I'm going to get around to it this year SO I'm just going to promo some of the older ~spooky~ or generally Halloweeny fics I've written in the past instead!! Separated by fandom :)
** = a longer fic
Circle
Unscientific - Park Dong-geon/Kim Woo-jin, Park Dong-geon is haunted by a ghost.
My Country the New Age
but you would still miss me in your bones - Gen but slashy, Bang-won encounters the ghost of Seon-ho while traveling post-canon.
**Like having fangs is something to regret - Seon-ho/Hwi/Bang-won, a werewolf/Bisclavret AU.
Nirvana in Fire
The Young Marshall's Ghost - Gen, Rumor has it that the ghost of Lin Shu is about in the capital. Mei Changsu puts his mind to the case.
**Temptations of trouble on my tongue - Mei Changsu/Prince Yu, Mei Changsu is a vampire and Prince Yu is Extremely Into It.
The Phantom of the Opera
Let's be honest, pretty much any POTO fic qualifies. But for particularly Halloweeny ones:
nothing more than a minnow - Erik/ghost!Raoul
Bloodless Doll - Erik/vampire!Raoul
free city for the enterprising - Erik/Raoul and Raoul/Christine, vampire!Erik AU
Revenant
A Small Black Puppy - Gu Sang-yeong/Lee Hong-sae, animal transformation and ghostly possession.

Seven Red Palms - Gen, seven students attempt necromancy.
Those are my the most Halloween-y fics I've written! I will come back to give Halloween fic recs by others sometime soon :D

One-syllable names are not very common in Korea, both in real life and TV shows. Here are some of the TV show characters with a one-syllable name that I am particularly fond of.
Jang Geon (장건) - Stranger (비밀의 숲)
Nam Shin/Nam Shin III (남신/남신 III) - Are You Human Too? (너도 인간이니?)
Choi Yoon (최윤) - The Guest (손 the guest)

One work 1 - One work (작품하나 1 - 작품하나) - Episode 6/?
One work 1 Album front
This album represents the solo work of a female duo from Busan University of Foreign Studies, which achieved notable recognition by winning the grand prize at the 11th MBC University Song Festival in 1987 with their performance of "I’m Still You." The song, characterized by its jazz influences, was innovative for its time and significantly contributed to the emergence of a rhythm and blues trend within the South Korean popular music landscape during the late 1980s. The album, subtitled "Will You Forget Me, That's Love," was released on October 27, 1988, under Asia Records, classified as a regular album with the catalog number ALS-1642.
The hit song produced by the University Festival, <I Still Have You>
The female duet from Busan University of Foreign Studies achieved the grand prize for their performance of "I’m Still You" at the 11th MBC University Song Festival in 1987. This jazz-influenced piece, which resonated with a refreshing vibe at the time, remains one of the festival's most celebrated hits.
Gong Min-soo (공민수), a senior majoring in French, and Kim Jeong-ah (김정아), who specialized in Malaysian Indonesian studies, concluded their university experience on a high note with this accolade. Following their victory, the duo, recognized for their unique musicality and exceptional vocal talent, began earnest preparations for their solo album.
One work 1 album back
Unique and individual musicality of each work
This album marks the inaugural solo release by a female duo, launched by Asia Records in 1988. It features a total of ten original tracks composed by Kim Hee-won (김희원), Lee Se-geon (이세건), Kim Jin-ryong (김진룡), and Choi Seong-ho (최성호), predominantly characterized by jazz-influenced rhythms and performances enhanced by electronic piano.
The duo's distinctive harmonies are particularly notable, blending a powerful yet melancholic tone that resonates with the emotional depth of the music. The title track, "Will You Be Forgotten by Me," which follows the earlier release "I Still Have You," achieved significant success, climbing the ranks of various music charts post-release. Additionally, tracks such as "Come Back," "That's Love," "The Reason My Heart Is Empty," and "I Became Lonely" showcase the unique musicality inherent to each composition.
Front page of the album lyrics of the work 1
Most played song of February 1988
Kim Hwi-won's composition, <I Still Love You>, is recognized as a pivotal influence in the popularization of rhythm and blues music in Korea, alongside notable works such as <Sunset> by Jeon Yeong-rok (전영록), <Regret> by Sinchon Blues (신촌블루스의), <I Always Have You> by Lee Sun-hee (이선희), <Cheongnyangni Blues> by Myeong Hye-won (명혜원), and <In the Fields> by Won Mi-yeon (원미연).
In February 1988, the music broadcast ranking research institute identified "I'm Still You" by Jwakwonhana (주에서 작품하나) as the most frequently aired song, with Cho Yong-pil (조용필) being the most played artist. Jwakwonhana's hit "I'm Still You" achieved an impressive 103 broadcasts that month, securing the top position. By the first week of April 1988, it maintained its popularity, ranking second on the National DJ Association's chart.
One of the works, in the middle of the album lyrics
<I Still Love You> is still playing
One Work achieved remarkable success by selling over 100,000 albums within just over a year of their debut. Despite limited television appearances, their song "I Still Have You" was featured in several compilation CDs of popular hits from the 70s and 80s. After a prolonged hiatus, One Work made a notable return in 2003, resuming their broadcasting and performance activities.
In 2015, Obi-Rak reached the final round of MBC's "Mystery Music Show, King of Mask Singer," delivering a passionate rendition of "I'm Still You" that showcased an impressive groove. Additionally, the 2015 musical "Miss Korea," which portrays the cultural landscape of Daegu in the 1980s, included a scene where Hana, originally from Busan, won the grand prize at a university music festival with her performance of "I'm Still You."

Songs (tagged)
Hi everyone !!
Thanks for the several songs tagging during the summer @mctna2019 @rhaenys-queenofkhyrulzz and @pashminabitch :) (and so I'm sort of replying to all of you at once?)
I'm generally more into soundtrack/classics than songs and I don't really use spotify but make my own MP3 playlists for in the car (i'm so old), so instead of the usual spotify shuffle i'm giving you the top 5 instrumentals I listen the most to lately? -Time of JungHyuk for Seri (CLOY OST / Nam Hye Seung, Park Sang Hee) -River Flower / Garden of God / The Warrior / Kingdom / Sword of the stranger / Lost Castle / My Country / Battlefield, selfmade mix with my favourites cut bits (i prefer listening to the whole titles whenever I can, but without the quiet parts you can't really hear above the engine/traffic noises is just better suited and safer when driving without having to fumble with the volume all the time) (MCTNA OST, Rain Wolff - and then choose the tracks) -The Day and My Love and… (TKEM OST 1 2 / Lee Geon Yeong, Gaemi) -Moonlight Sonata I & III (Beethoven) -No Time for Caution aka Epic Docking Scene (Interstellar OST, Hans Zimmer)
But if you actually want to know about actual SONGS, I'd go with those 'character meta-ish' songs in my MCTNA folder (which is the one I currently listen the most to, so...) -Shake it out, Florence & The Machine -Nothing, The Vassar Devils - thanks to that perfect @nubreed73 MCTNA vid -Dynasty, MIIA (MCTNA vids https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-inZf-p1dE and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fozuKNpv8sc) -Train Wreck, James Arthur (MCTNA vid) -Believer, Imagine Dragons (MCTNA vid) (And special mention for the crackiest yet meta-ish crack vid I always come back to whenever I need a laugh (even though I cry at the end), even if I do not listen to the song in the car - again and forever, thank you so much for this golden one, always @nubreed73 :))
But to be honest again the actual SONGS i might have heard the most lately are those from our family Eurovision best of folder my kids didn't stopped asking for on repeat on our drive back home from holidays :) -Alessandra - Norway - Queen of Kings 2023 (btw we voted for Lureen this year (because she was in our opinion the best singer (there is POWER in her voice, okay) - tumblr, don't hate us, please), but this one was a huge favorite song too. third (and atypical winner of the year in our hearts indeed) was Finland Käärijä - Cha Cha Cha) -The Roop - On Fire - Lithuania 2020 -Italy - Mahmood - Soldi 2019 -Alexander Rybak - Fairytale - Norway 2009 (still such an iconic catchy tune) -Iceland - Hatari - Hatrið mun sigra 2019 (each year we give a special award out of our own - 'atypical winner of the year') (PS: any european pretending not to enjoy eurovision is a liar who lies :) (or not - anyone is free to like it or not of course i'm just joking, but in my family it is actually a year milestone tradition: that's how i grew up and that's what i passed on to my kids : gather all in front of the tv with snacks, and someone keeps the votes of everyone on a chart song by song:))
Tagging EVERYONE as usual and please tag me back so I can see it all :)

✨️ The Glory Part 2 ✨️ “The Glory Part 2” has unveiled new character posters and a teaser ! The newly released posters for Part 2 feature Moon Dong Eun with each of eight characters who are deeply intertwined with her. Among the characters in solidarity with Moon Dong Eun are Joo Yeo Jeong, Kang Hyeon Nam (Yeom Hye Ran), and Ha Do Yeong (Jung Sung Il). In each of the three posters, Moon Dong Eun stands on the right side and faces them either with a warm gaze or a gentle smile. The texts on the top-center of the posters that read, “She is my salvation,” “Happy I started to dream,” and “I don’t like saying that I don’t know something, but I don’t know yet,” seem to describe the thoughts of Joo Yeo Jeong, Kang Hyun Nam, and Ha Do Young, respectively, regarding Moon Dong Eun. On the other hand, Moon Dong Eun’s attitude and gazes toward the perpetrators group consisting of Park Yeon Jin (Lim Ji Yeon), Jeon Jae Joon (Park Sung Hoon), Lee Sa Ra (Kim Hieora), Choi Hye Jeong (Cha Joo Young), and Son Myeong Oh (Kim Geon Woo) are completely different. Moon Dong Eun looks down at them from above with her hands clutched to different body parts of each character. The texts aligned in the mid-center of the posters that read, “Your soul, which laughed in joy throughout all of it,” “Those leering eyes,” “The hand that mocked and broke others,” “The lips that laughed at others’ misfortune,” and “The feet that were eager to inflict pain on others,” seem to describe Moon Dong Eun’s feelings of resentment, anger, and revenge toward the perpetrators who made her life miserable and made her spend all her life scheming her revenge. #theglory #theglory2 #theglorypart2 #더글로리파트2 #songhyekyo #송혜교 #leedohyun #이도현 #limjiyeon #임지연 #yumhyeran #염혜란 #parksunghoon #박성훈 #jungsungil #정성일#kimhieora #김히어라 #chajooyoung #차주영 #kimgunwoo #김건우 #characterposters #drama #kdrama #koreandrama #dramakorea #fayrafeed (di My Imagination) https://www.instagram.com/p/CoetoNyvbnt/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Vagabond
Genre: Crime, Spy, Thriller, Action
Episodes: 16
Starring: Lee Seung-Gi Bae Suzy, Shin Sung-Rok, Lee Ki-Young Moon Yeong-Hee
Synopsis: Cha Dal-geon works as an underrated stuntman, while simultaneously taking care of his orphaned little nephew Cha Hoon. When Hoon travels to Moroco, the plane crashes due to a structural failure and all the 200 passangers are killed. With his world now turned upside down, Dal-geon travels to Morocco to attend the funeral for all the victims of the plane crash. In Moroco, he discovers, that the plane crash probably wasn't an accident and he gets in a spiral of very dangerous power play reaching to the highest positions in Korea. Trying to find out why his nephew had to die, he teams up with NIS agent Go Hae-Ri and they. They have no idea how deadly dangerous situation they entered.
Positives: It was really entertaining. I love the conspiracy dramas full of mystery, nervewrecking plot twists and good actions scenes. Also the characters are quite good, Dal-Gein is a relatable hero who is not perfect, but you just root for him. Also the side characters are very interesting, I especially appreciate how we just don't know who is a "good" guy and who is the "bad" guy till the end.
Negatives: The drama ends with a clifhanger, but hopefully there will be season 2 in 2024. I would also appreciate more backstory and screentime for somw side characters like Gi Tae-Ung or Jessica Lee.
Conclusion: I would recommend this show for everyone who likes the "one man against the system" stories. It's very complex plot with a lot of inerteresting and morally ambiguous characters, definitelly worth to watch it ;)
Action: 9/10 Romance: 7/10 Intriques: 10/10 Blood: 8/10 Whump: 6/10 Friendship: 6/10 Emotions: 7/10 Humor: 2/10

Crash Course in Romance. 일타 스캔들. 7.7/10
I would recommend this show to my friends. I wouldn't rewatch this show.
I always recognize Lee Do Hye despite her always having minor roles. Lee Sang Yi's character is so random.
Hae E is pretty. Jang Young Nam has always been pretty.
Wow I felt amazing when Haeng Seon got the 100th spot for the classes. Chi Yeol's speech about wanting to have his students be as passionate as him is admirable. That would get me as a student. Sun Jae and Hae E's karaoke date is cute. I want to have that kind of simple fun at karaoke. I love how Hae E catches on quick to the situation with Chi Yeol and Haeng Seon. I also like her interactions with Chi Yeol and how just kind it is. I love that Jae Woo loves Chi Yeol. Yeong Joo is such a good friend. She's also so funny and amusing, especially when talking about romance. Dan Ji and her mom are both fun friends. Dan Ji is also a good friend. Hae E's friends are so loyal. I love and respect it. I do enjoy Su Ah's mom's reaction to her husband cheating. The Jae Woo and Young Joo plotline is cute. Sun Jae's reaction to the cheek kiss is soo cute
Wow, can you imagine having a solo piano recital. You're that good? I would fall for Geon Hu if I were a high schooler. Hae E is an ideal daughter and Haeng Seon is an ideal mom.
What even is Chi Yeol's car's side mirror thing? Chi Yeol has two fridges and no food, why?
I hate the waffle-making part-timer's boyfriend. Su Ah's parents treating her so princess-like kinda disgusts me because of her general attitude in response. Su Ah in general disgusts me. But, the situation is also kinda sad.
I thought it was sad when Sun Jae cried on Hae E.
Memorable Quotes: "음식을 기면 죄다."

Jung Woo-jin and Lim Joo-hwan were not the parents…
'Three siblings are brave' Min Seong-wook hid the fact that Lim Joo-hwan and Jung Woo-jin were not biological children.
On the 35th episode of KBS 2TV's weekend drama 'Three Siblings Bravely', which aired on the 22nd, Jang Yeong-sik (Min Seong-wook) burned the paternity test results of Lee Sang-joon (Lim Joo-hwan) and Jang Ji-woo (Jung Woo-jin).
On this day, Shin Moo-yeong (Kim Seung-soo) told Kim Gun-woo (Lee Yu-jin) that Jang Hyeon-jeong (Wang Bit-na) was leaving for Chicago. Kim Kun-woo ran to the airport and grabbed Jang Hyun-jung. Kim Gun-woo got angry, saying, "How could you do this to me. How could you do this to me?" Jang Hyun-jung was surprised, saying, "How did you know?"
Kim Gun-woo shouted, "How could you do this to me?", and Jang Hyun-jung nailed it, saying, "It's for you." Kim Geon-woo said, "For me? If it's for me, follow me. I'll tell my family everything today" and took Hyun-jung Jang home.
Coincidentally, the families of both families gathered to discuss the divorce between Lee Sang-jun and Kim Tae-joo. Kim Gun-woo declared, "I'm getting married. My girlfriend is pregnant. Please understand and love me," and brought Hyun-jung Jang into her house. Kim Kun-woo confessed, "The person I will marry is Jang Hyun-jung. We are in love now."
In addition, Lee Sang-joon wondered to Jang Young-sik, "What is the paternity discrepancy report? Subin and Ji-woo saw that my brother was burning something, and they said it was a paternity discrepancy report." It was a paternity test,” he explained.
Lee Sang-jun said, "I thought it was like that then, but now that I think about it, it's strange." Jang Young-sik said, "Yes. I'll be honest. I didn't test Eun-joo and me. "I entrusted the test. It was 20 years ago, so the sample was contaminated. I also received a discrepancy test that said it could not be confirmed. Five out of seven times it came out as a parent."

Açıkçası “Slice of life” tarzını severim.
Ji Chang-Wook, The Sound of macig dizisinde hayatıma giren bir oyuncuydu. Kim Ji-Won ise Descendants of the sun ile tanışmıştım.
İkinci çift Choi Kyeong-Jun(Kim Min-Suk) ve Suh Rin-I (So Ju-Yeon) idi.
